There was the traditional pot-luck lunch, followed by a business portion of the meeting which included a summary of this past year’s programs as well as looking ahead for what is being planned for 2024. Informational documents were sent out ahead of the meeting and can still be accessed on the Member Login page. A password is required. If you need assistance, contact jenny@alpineartisans.org
Thanks to all who participated.
AAI Art and Talent Revue
“We could hear them laughing and clapping from blocks away” was the reaction of Seeley Lake neighbors on the night of our first AAI Art Auction and Talent Revue. Each AAI Art and Talent Revue offers a startling mix of comedy, theater, poetry, cowboy poetry, jazz and bluegrass music from young and old. A silent auction of the work of AAI artists, drinks and desserts round out the event. We're looking forward to planning our next Art & Talent Revue when we can safely gather again closely together!
Crown of the Continent Community Cinema
The Crown of the Continent Community Cinema film program features award-winning documentaries and independent features on topics as varied as cowgirl poets, music and art, western lifestyles, extreme sports, mountain climbing, buffalo, and western history.
A grant from the Seeley Lake Community Foundation has enabled us to purchase a portable wide screen DVD projection system, and we'll give you that big screen experience in the small town atmosphere you love. This portability enables us to create a local cinema in many locations, including the Grizzly Claw Trading Co., the Seeley Lake and Swan Valley Community Halls, Seeley Lake Senior Center, Historical Barn, the local schools and even outdoors!
We hope that this gets your wheels turning, because we welcome your suggestions. Email us with your ideas at jenny@alpineartisans.org or call us at (406) 754-0034 and ask for Jenny. Donations are accepted.

String Orchestra of the Rockies
Living and creating in our scenic valleys of Western Montana requires us to be resourceful. As a result, Alpine Artisans is exceptionally talented at attracting amazing artists to stop here for a unique performance. Case in point: the String Orchestra of the Rockies has twice performed in a local residence called Spirithome in the heart of the Swan Valley. These photos feature their most recent performance with the “SOR Quintet.”
Monte Dolack and the Nature of Art Festival
Plein air painting was the focus of our 2014 Nature of Art Festival featuring Monte Dolack painting on the lawn at Holland Lake Lodge in the Swan Valley.
2VS Condon Party, Annual Meetings and AAI Holiday Party
Music and fellowship are traditional Western pastimes in our valleys, well established after years of needing to provide our own entertainment! AAI continues that heritage, with live music at fundraisers at the historic Wilderness Bar, Tuba Santas at our Holiday Party, and our 'show and tell' sharing of recent artwork at our AAI Annual Meeting. Everyone is welcome – join us!
