Montana lends itself to artistic magic.

From the majesty of the vast and surreal surroundings to the complexity of the eclectic culture, it has always been a fabulous place to make and to enjoy art. This is especially true of the scenic and inspirational Seeley-Swan and Blackfoot Valleys of Western Montana.

Together, as Alpine Artisans, more than 200 artists and art supporters work to capture that unique energy and spirit and to promote a rich cultural environment for residents, families and tourists alike.

VISION

We, as Alpine Artisans, envision the quality of life of the Seeley, Swan, and Blackfoot Valley communities being significantly enriched and enhanced through the efforts and activities of our membership and staff.

MISSION

The mission of Alpine Artisans is to promote and preserve the arts in the Seeley, Swan, and Blackfoot valleys of Western Montana. We accomplish this through supporting artists, arts education, outreach and information gathering and sharing.

Enriching the community through the arts is an ongoing activity of Alpine Artisans. Events open to the community for its enjoyment include exhibits, art fairs, workshops, lectures, concerts and performances. The contributions of our organization to the Seeley-Swan and Blackfoot valleys are possible due to the volunteer efforts of our nearly 250 members.

This website is a gathering place for news and photos and upcoming events – an annotated guide to all of the rich cultural activities we offer year-round.  Bookmark us and return often for news of our robust and ever-expanding repertoire of high altitude culture and community.  We have so much to offer you.
